Mental wellness starts with community.
Our mission is to promote mental wellness, educate communities, and empower every young person to feel seen, supported, and heard.
The Mental Wellness Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in July 2026 by students in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. We run free mental health education workshops, community outreach, and peer support programming for young people.
Four ways we're building a healthier community
Promote Wellness
Championing everyday habits and resources that help minds feel as cared for as bodies.
Educate Communities
Bringing accessible mental health education into schools and neighborhoods that need it most.
Reduce Stigma
Opening honest conversations so asking for help feels normal, not something to hide.
Support Youth
Building programs and outreach designed by and for the next generation.
Founded by students who believed mental health deserved more than a whisper
We saw classmates struggling in silence and communities without the resources to help. So we built The Mental Wellness Project, a space for education, outreach, and honest conversation about mental health, run by young people who understand the stakes firsthand.
